As for me personally I am staying well away from any game that has online only proprietary servers ( RIP Battleborn). Well if you are able to access at least an offline version of the game that at least is understandable. You can install the game from the disc and play it, and you can download the latest patch manually and update the game. Just Online mode and the patcher (which would fail but still let you pass), which is understandable. DJMAX Trilogy, for the record, didn't block you from the game when the servers went down. Not sure why I didn't remember those before picking up RESPECT. And that reminded me of what happened to DJ MAX TRILOGY and DJ MAX RAY.
